Youball programs
Youth programs are essential for up-and-coming student-athletes. Our programs provide basketball teams, camps, career workshops as well as tutoring, advanced educational opportunities and scholarships for kids in underserved communities.
MEET OUR TEAMS
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
YouBall has formed teams for youth 9yrs- 16yrs. Using this platform to build student-athletes skills and character. While, bridging gaps within the community, creating friendships and bonds that last a lifetime. Every coach in the program, has gone down this path and had much success on and off the court. During this process you create a network that can help athletes develop successful habits for the game of life.
Our staff at YouBall want to be involved in lowering statistics for under-privileged youth participation in sports and fitness. By creating relationships with schools across Los Angeles County, YouBall offers free basketball programming. Wanting to pass along coaches’ knowledge to the up-and-coming youth on how to properly prepare for life in the classroom and sports.
PRIVATE SCHOOL PLACEMENT
Where kids go to high school matters. Now more than ever! So, our staff at YouBall go above and beyond to help student-athletes ready their education for higher learning opportunities. Upon entry into our programs, we sit down with our families to discuss private school opportunities. Get a feel for where they’re at academically, thus, understanding what necessary steps be taken to gain acceptance from private institutions. Our staff has relationships with coaches at these elite private schools, that are looking for quality student-athletes and can aid them throughout the applications process.
We currently have over 50 kids at private schools throughout Southern California.
MENTORSHIP
YouBall offers guidance in the form of mentorship. By definition; mentorship is a relationship between two people where the individual with more experience, knowledge, and connections is able to pass along what they have learned to a more junior individual within a certain field.
Our purpose as a mentor is to help student-athletes grow as a person and become the best version of themselves. This may involve helping them achieve personal or career goals, introducing new ways of thinking, challenging and limiting assumptions, sharing valuable life lessons, and much more. The relationships created with our youth have changed their trajectory as a student-athlete upon insertion into YouBall program

We strive to mold strong, independent characters on and off the court, thus, building model stewards in the community” -Thomas Scott
Meet our Board President
Amani started his basketball career in LA at Pacific Hills School (West Hollywood), where as a freshman won the Delphic league division 5A city and state Championship. He was named All City 1st team for Division 5A three consecutive times during his high school career.
After graduating high school, Amani earned a full basketball scholarship to Indiana State University, an 11-year professional career, playing in Finland, Iceland, Japan, and Canada to name a few. Embracing cultures along with the ability to flow into roles as a leader and team player led to championships in Finland 2009 and in Japan in 2011 & 2012. An assistant coach for Crossroads 2018 CA Division II High School State Championship, with NBA Hall of Fame Shaquille O’Neal son Shareef O’Neal.
Amani then helped found Youball Foundation Inc. a 501(C3) nonprofit that’s dedicated to servicing youth through sports and education. The foundation is a vehicle to drive student athletes into elite private schools while flattening the learning curve with their basketball development through AAU tournaments, practices and trainings. This process has enabled YBF to change countless lives. “I’m so proud of the work our staff, parents and sponsors have done on this journey”– Amani Daanish.
With Donor support Youball Foundation has been able to bridge gaps in south LA communities, impacting lives on and off the court. Creating friendships and memories that last a lifetime.
